The 8 Most Overrated/Underrated Things in Travel

Underrated doesn‘t mean something is the best, just that it‘s better than commonly appreciated. Overrated doesn‘t mean it‘s not good -- or even great -- just that it isn‘t as good as people in general seem to think. Overrated or underrated is about lowering or raising the status of things. It‘s about whether you think people in general regard it too highly, or not highly enough, relative to its actual worth.

Citi Gutting Most Travel Protections and Other Card Benefits Across All Premium Products

I‘m now questioning whether to get the Citi Prestige card again, after all. The card‘s 5 points per dollar on air will no longer come with trip delay and baggage delay coverage. Notably of course many of these benefits don‘t come with American Express cards, but it makes my Chase-issued premium cards more attractive. Football Star Cam Newton Offers 1500 for an Extra Legroom Coach Seat, Gets Denied

I‘ve paid a child 5 not to recline his seat so I open my laptop and work during a Cleveland - Los Angeles flight. I paid a teen 10 for a seat at an OTG iPad near my gate during a 4 hour delay. I haven‘t ever bought another passenger‘s seat, though. A View from the Wing reader, though, gave up his seat so a family could sit together and then promptly sold the seat to another passenger for 100. Who would say no to 1500? Continu

Cathay Pacific is Making Business and First Class Sleep Even Better

Despite a business class seat that dates to 2011, it‘s ultimately good to see Cathay continuing to invest in its premium product. You know the feeling when you run into a co-worker at the airport unexpectedly, you awkwardly try to figure out how much you need to interact. Last Chance: 70,000 Miles for Citi AAdvantage Business Card Offer Ending

I wrote back in April that the CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Mastercard was one of just two Citibank cards that I have. I got it last summer when they offered a record initial bonus of 70,000 AAdvantage miles. They brought back that best-ever offer for the card. It‘s a lot of miles, and in the experience of the readers I‘ve corresponded with, it‘s seemed a relatively easy approval as far as rewards cards go. An

American Airlines CEO Says It‘s Just Politics That‘s Keeping 737 MAX From Flying

Since the airline needs to put together schedules that their employees will bid to fly in September in early July they may push out the scheduled return of the 737 MAX again soon so they don‘t put out "bid schedules that don‘t reflect the actual flying we‘re going to do." As a result, Parker says, "If we‘re not much more certain than we are today that..it‘s going to be ready on September 4, you may see us push it bac

Korean Air May Remove First Class From Their Entire Fleet

Korean Air is considering removing first class entirely from their fleet. Before the end of the Chase partnership I transferred a bunch of points to the Skypass program.
